Why rent from CyclErie
We are the Front Range’s family-owned local shop — not a parking-lot rental stand. You roll out onto real paths, on a fleet we service ourselves.
Front Range’s top lineup
The largest local rental mix of Aventon commuter and adventure e-bikes, plus select Specialized flat-bar gravel bikes and family cargo bikes when in season.
True trailfront access
Skip the asphalt lot. Step out of our Erie storefront onto dirt, gravel, and paved loops within seconds. Longmont rolls straight into downtown paths and the St. Vrain Greenway.
Local expertise
We don’t just hand you keys. Staff adjust your seat and controls, walk through the electronics, and map a route that matches how you actually want to ride.
Rent-to-own credit
Love it? A portion of your rental fee can apply toward a new bike purchased from us shortly after. Ask the counter for the current window and credit limit.
What’s included with every rental
We set you up for a safe, stress-free ride. Every bike automatically includes:
Need extra gear?
Cell phone mounts, trunk bags, storage panniers, high-security secondary locks, and high-visibility lights are available as add-ons when you pick up.
Chargers are available on request for multi-day rentals. Every e-bike leaves the shop 100% charged.
Real trail access from both shops
Don’t test a bike in a cramped parking lot. Our locations open onto Colorado path systems.

What we rent
Fleet mix changes with the season. Call ahead if you need a specific size or cargo bike.
Aventon commuter & adventure e-bikes
Our primary fleet. Class 1 and Class 2 (pedal-assist to 20 mph, with select throttle options). Typical range 30–60+ miles per charge depending on rider weight, terrain, temperature, and assist level.
Specialized gravel + cargo
Select Specialized flat-bar gravel bikes and cargo e-bikes when available. Gravel rentals are a strong match for Coal Creek’s crushed-gravel stretches.
We cannot rent tow-behind bike trailers or tagalong attachments, for insurance and liability reasons.
Published rental rates
Same e-bike rates at Erie and Longmont. Tax applies at checkout. Walk-ins welcome when bikes are free; reservations recommended on weekends.

Booking & logistics
What do I need to bring at pickup?
A valid photo ID and a credit card matching the name on the reservation. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present at checkout to sign the mandatory liability waiver.
How does pickup and return work?
When you arrive, staff will physically size and fit the bike, walk you through the electronic controls, and give a brief safety orientation. Return the bike to the same location you rented from (Erie or Longmont) during normal store hours. After-hours drop-offs are unavailable unless cleared with our team in advance.
What is your cancellation and weather policy?
Give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Same-day no-shows will be charged. If heavy rain or snow makes riding dangerous, we will gladly issue a date change or store credit. We do not automatically refund for light rain or overcast weather.
Are there age or height requirements?
No strict age limits, but riders must be tall enough to comfortably reach the ground while stopped and safely operate all hand controls. We size every rider in-store to guarantee a safe match.
Where am I legally allowed to ride?
Standard fleet bikes are Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes. They are legal on streets and multi-use paved or crushed-gravel paths such as Coal Creek Trail and the St. Vrain Greenway. Rentals are not permitted on aggressive singletrack or downhill dirt trails unless you are matched with a specific eMTB — always check with staff first.
What is the battery range?
Most rental e-bikes achieve 30 to 60+ miles per charge. Actual range depends on rider weight, terrain, temperature, and how much pedal-assist or throttle you use. Every bike goes out fully charged. Standard wall chargers are available on request for multi-day rentals.
What happens if a bike is damaged or stolen?
The renter assumes full financial responsibility for any damage, loss, or theft during the rental window. We provide a basic cable lock, but never leave the e-bike unattended or out of sight for long periods.
