Our E-Bike Service Policy: Prioritizing Quality and Long-Term Satisfaction
At CyclErie, we are committed to helping families and riders get the most enjoyment and reliability from their bikes and e-bikes. After careful review of our service experience, we have updated our approach to e-bike repairs and sales.
We no longer accept service or warranty work on most direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-bikes (brands typically sold online without a local dealer network, such as many budget models from Amazon or direct importers).
Why this change?
• Parts availability: Many low-cost DTC e-bikes have limited or inconsistent replacement parts. Delays often stretch for weeks or months, leaving customers frustrated and our mechanics unable to complete repairs efficiently.
• Service quality and safety: We want every repair to meet high standards. When parts are unavailable or incompatible, we cannot reliably get bikes back to safe, happy riding condition.
• Customer and team experience: Repeated delays lead to disappointment for riders and added stress for our staff. We prefer to focus our expertise on brands we can fully support with timely parts and knowledgeable service.
This decision allows us to maintain the fast, reliable service our community expects and helps us control costs so we can continue offering competitive pricing on quality bikes and accessories that we stand behind.
What we do support:
• We proudly sell and service quality e-bike brands with strong local parts availability and manufacturer support (such as Aventon, Specialized, and others in our inventory).
• Test rides, expert fitting, and full-service packages on the bikes we carry.
• Recommendations for riders seeking reliable options within different budgets.
We understand this may be an adjustment for some in our community, as expectations for “fix anything” service have grown with online shopping. Our goal remains the same: getting more families confidently riding on safe, dependable bikes that last.
If you have questions about your specific e-bike, current inventory, or recommendations for a reliable model, please reach out—we’re happy to help you find the right fit. Contact us at [phone], email [email], or stop by the shop in Erie or Longmont.
Thank you for supporting local business and for trusting us with your family’s adventures on two wheels!
