Hey everyone,
We just opened our second location in Longmont, and I wanted to share a little about why we did it and what we’re trying to build there.
Raising kids in Boulder County means a lot of weekend rides, school commutes, and spontaneous trail adventures. Over the years we kept hearing the same thing from families: it’s getting harder to find a real bike shop that actually understands what everyday riders and growing families need. So we decided to bring CyclErie to Longmont.
We’re still a small, family-owned business. My family lives in Erie, our kids go to school in BVSD and SVVSD, and we ride these same roads and trails you do. The Longmont shop is run every day by three longtime Longmont locals who know the area, the trails, and the kind of bikes people actually use around here. That feels important to us.
Finding a Bike Shop That Feels Like Home

There are plenty of big stores and online options, but there’s something different about walking into a shop where the people know your name, remember what your kid’s last bike looked like, and actually care that you keep riding together as a family. That’s what we’re going for.
When it’s time to get your bike serviced, you want someone who does it right. Our mechanics know bikes inside and out — from the most intricate time trial road bike to the smoothest riding cruiser eBike and everything in between. They’re certified, experienced, and genuinely good at what they do. You can see our full service options here: Bicycle Service & Repair – Longmont
Kids Grow Fast – We Built Something to Help
One thing we hear all the time from parents is how expensive kids’ bikes get as they outgrow them every couple of years. That’s why we carry solid options like Woom bikes and the Specialized HotRock and Rockhopper series, and why we offer our Kids Trade-Up Program. When your child is ready for the next size, you get 50% of what you originally paid back toward the new bike. It just makes more sense for families.

eBikes That Actually Fit Real Life
Some days you want to haul the kids and a cooler without everyone being exhausted. Other days you want to get to work without showing up sweaty. Or maybe you’re finally ready to keep up with your teenager on the trails.
We’ve been riding and testing a bunch of eBikes ourselves — Aventon Abound LR cargo bikes, the new Aventon Current EXP full-suspension, Specialized Turbo Vado commuters, and more. They’re fun, practical, and they open up a lot more riding possibilities for families.
If you’re curious, come take a free test ride. No pressure — just ride it where you actually want to go and see how it feels: Schedule a Test Ride in Longmont
Not ready for electric yet? That’s totally fine. We also have great gravel and mountain bikes like the Specialized Diverge 4 and Stumpjumper 15 Expert that are perfect for Front Range riding — from smooth gravel loops to the chunky stuff at Hall Ranch.

Come Say Hi

At the end of the day, we just want more families riding together, exploring our community, and keeping their money local. If you’re in Longmont or nearby, stop in, chat with the crew, and see if we’re the kind of shop you’ve been looking for.
We’d love to meet you.
Ride safe out there, The CyclErie Family Erie & Longmont, Colorado
