Cable and housing full bike

$120.00

Service Includes: Our technicians replace all four cables and housings for bikes with mechanical shifters and brakes, adjust brakes and derailleurs, and include parts costs.

Recommended Timing: Annual service for regularly ridden bikes (e.g., daily or weekly use) to ensure smooth shifting and braking, especially vital for bikes tackling Colorado's fantastic roads and trails.

When to Replace: Swap cables/housings yearly or sooner if you notice sluggish shifting, weak brakes, or see fraying, rust, kinks, or cracked/clogged housing—common issues on the trail’s mixed gravel and dirt surfaces.

Why Replace: Prevents performance drops, reduces wear on components, and ensures safety. On Coal Creek Trail—a 14+ mile soft-surface route from Superior to Erie—reliable cables are key for handling uneven terrain, prairie dog holes, and weather exposure (mud, dust, moisture), keeping bikes responsive and safe. Harsh conditions may demand more frequent swaps.
